OVTA
is
launching
a
campaign
featuring
a
personalized
license
plate
with
the
Ottawa
Valley
logo
on
it.
The
OVTA
would
like
to
offer
Ottawa
Valley
residents
an
opportunity
to
purchase
a
graphic
license
plate
through
a
collaborative
partnership
with
the
Ministry
of
Transportation.
The
plates
will
be
available
for
order
at
a
cost
of
$78.85
beginning
April
24th,
2006.
The
license
plates
will
feature
both
the
registration
identification
of
the
vehicle,
and
the
original
Ottawa
Valley
logo
that
is
the
official
trademark
of
the
Ottawa
Valley
Tourist
Association.
The
plates
will
be
available
at
any
MTO
Driver
&
Vehicle
Licensing
Office.
According
to
Ottawa
Valley
Tourist
Association
Manager,
Mitchell
Wilkie,
the
license
plate
promotion
is
a
great
way
to
showcase
the
Ottawa
Valley
both
locally
and
nationally.
“When
people
place
an
Ottawa
Valley
license
plate
on
their
vehicle,
they
are
making
a
statement.
They
are
declaring
their
pride
in
the
Ottawa
Valley,
and
all
the
many
advantages
of
living
in
the
region.
The
license
plates
also
allow
our
organization
to
advertise
outside
of
our
region.
The
Ottawa
Valley
Tourist
Association
(OVTA)
is
a
non-profit
organization
designed
to
stimulate
and
promote
tourism
in
Renfrew
County.
Its
goal
is
to
create
a
presence
in
the
tourism
marketplace
on
behalf
of
its
over
200
local
members.
