The Ottawa Valley stretches from
Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, westward to the wilderness of Ontario’s
world-renowned Algonquin Park in the west. More than half the Valley is
wilderness: 2.4 million hectares (6 million acres) of pristine waterways,
rolling woodlands and dramatic landforms. This landscape stimulates an

County and The Ottawa Valley
are one and the same, with the exception
of a few outlying areas. When you
pass the Renfrew County signs on
our major roads, you are in the
Ottawa Valley.
